2013-2014
Fall Concert
Come in from the November cold to a warm all-French program with the Hart House Chorus. Join us in the Great Hall for an afternoon of sublime music from 19th and 20th century French composers Maurice Duruflé, Gabriel Fauré, Charles Gounod, and Francis Poulenc. Performed works include Gloria, Cantique de Jean Racine, and more. The concert will be directed by David Bowser and features pianist Jacqueline Mokrzewski and sopranos Erica Warder and Melanie Conly.
Spring Concert
Come celebrate the long-awaited beginning of spring with the Hart House Chorus as we explore the joy and pure power of Franz Joseph Haydn’s Die Schöpfung (The Creation). In collaboration with the NYCO Symphony Orchestra, the concert will feature over 90 choristers and musicians, and will explore Haydn’s masterpiece oratorio that celebrates the beginning of life. The concert will be directed by David Bowser, and will feature solo performances by soprano Ania Hejnar, tenor Charles Sy, and bass-baritone Michael Nyby.
